More Teeth

Well, the big ones came -- both got their upper 1 year molars at the same time! And, during the move! We thought they were screaming because of their new environment, but they were really screaming because of their teeth!

They both now have 8 teeth! And, they are working on their lower 1 year molars. It was a rough 10 days!

Bad Influence Already

Sylvia can be a bad influence on Evelyn and vice versa. Here are two good examples. First, Sylvia, then Evelyn.

Moving Videos

We have been BUSY! We've moved to a new house on August 25th! Here's the link if you want to see it. We love it. Our townhouse is rented and we are pretty much moved in. It has a HUGE yard and tons of space for the girls to roam. We love it!

16 Months

While 16 month pictures were not officially taken, here they are in their chair in the new house. They barely fit!

Moving Fun

In addition to moving videos, here are some cute moving pictures. For some reason, I didn't take any pictures of Gram, who was critical to the process. Thanks so much Mom for flying out for 5 days to help us unpack and watch the girls. You worked like a dog, dealt with my crankiness, and I thank you for that!

Using Spoons

The girls love to use utensils! They are getting pretty good at it too. We now use plates and bowls too. It does make things a whole lot more messy, but they love it. Big girls.

Grocery

The girls don't often go to the grocery because I go on Friday's and Angela watches the girls. But, when they do, they ride in style (well, except for Sylvia's hair!).

Pool Fun

After work, we spent about 2 hours outside...playing in the sprinkler, pool, with the water table and hose. They couldn't get enough of drinking the water from cups in the pool (gross! thankfully it was new water), and from the sprinkler (not as bad!). They loved climbing up into the chairs just as much as playing in the water. Good fun was had by all. Excuse the nakedness...who needs bathing suits in your own yard?! After all this water fun, I took them up for baths before dinner because they were a filthy muddy mess. Summer time is so great!

Pretty Blue Eyed Girl

While attempting to snap pictures for their 15 month update, Evelyn was being super photogenic. Look at these. She's so pretty! [So if Sylvia, of course!]

Mommy & Daddy's 4th Anniversary

This weekend, Mommy and Daddy went to Annapolis to celebrate their 4th wedding anniversary. We were lucky because La La watched us for the 27 hours they were away. We went to a music class, to Old Town to meet new friends and doggies, took a good nap, and had a fun bath. This was Mommy and Daddy's 3rd overnight away from us, 2 times La La watched us and the other time Gram did while they went to a wedding. We don't like them to go away, but we barely notice becase we are having so much fun! Here we are goofing on in the tub before bedtime.

Flowers

Here are some silly shots last Friday. The girls breath in and out of their nose hard when asked if they want to smell a flower. Sylvia nods her head that she wants to smell the flower and then turns her head. Evelyn goes nose first and agrees that it smells good. Super cute.

Sylvia's 6th Tooth

Sylvia's 6th tooth finally emerged -- the upper right lateral incisor. This is just 9 days after Evelyn got her upper left lateral incisor. Next, they will work on molars. Yikes.

Shoes

Yesterday we were going out to the grocery and I put some new shoes on Evelyn. They were pink with polka dots. Very cute. David proceed to put the shoes Sylvia always wears on and she started crying. We couldn't figure out why. She kept crying. Then, it dawned on me she was crying because she wanted new shoes too. So, I took out these blue crocs and she happily let us put them on her and the crying stopped.

It's hard to believe at 15 months they are already fussing about shoes! I can't wait until their teen years!

Cleveland Zoo

We went to Cleveland for a friend's wedding and Gram and Gramps met us there! We had great fun at the Cleveland Zoo. Check out Sylvia's face when she discovers the gorilla! Gramps took control of pushing the stroller. This was the girls 5th airplane vacation, so 10 flights! They did great.

It was interesting because just a few days before we decided to transition the girls to one nap a day. It worked out perfectly on vacation too!

1 Nap

The girls hadn't been taking 2 naps consistently, so we transitioned them to 1 nap a day (12-2pm) in about three days. I thought it would be a huge ordeal, but it wasn't.

Lounging Poolside

Check out Evelyn lounging poolside! All she needs is a sippy cup of milk and she'd be in heaven.

15 Months!

Oh gosh, this picture taking thing is getting difficult. The girls are hilarious! Here they are in their chair, sort of! Evelyn wouldn't let Sylvia in the chair, can you tell?

At their 15 month checkup they received a clean bill of heath. Here are the statistics.

Sylvia's are listed first and then Evelyn's

Head 18.25cm -- 60% 18cm -- 25%

Height 30.25in -- 45% 30.25in -- 45%

Weight 22lbs 14oz -- 45% 21lbs 50z -- 30th

Note they are the same height!

Evelyn's 6th Tooth

Evelyn got another tooth! It's the left upper lateral incisor! Since everyone is so well versed on the correct naming of teeth, I attached a picture!

Sylvia's working on her right lateral incisor for her 6th tooth, but it hasn't come in yet!

At the Concert

From Angela: "We had a great time at the concert. Sylvia danced in front of the band! Evelyn ran around like a crazy girl! They loved it. We talked to the singer, she has 3 year old twin girls too." Here are 2 of the 4 pictures she emailed us.

Our Little Readers

Angela sent these pictures today on their way to a concert in Old Town (she assures us she was parked). The girls love their books.

They seems to always want to be together and do the same thing at the same time, often not with a very good result. Before, After.

First Haircuts -- 14 Months

Before

The girls' hair was getting too long! Just in their eyes all the time! And, they pulled out their barrettes and hair ties immediately (while pulling out their hair too!). Evelyn's bangs were to her chin! She looked like a shaggy dog! So, much to my chagrin, I got their hair cut. We took them to cartoon cuts, which was a huge success. Evelyn sat still watching cartoons! I think it was the first time watching cartoons. Evelyn now sports a totally cute bob; Sylvia's hair is just a little shorter than before, but with bangs!
