Wouldn't you figure their first wish bone breaking attempt would end up like this? I'm totally not joking!

Coloring By Number
Evelyn did a color by number worksheet today and with a little guidance to get started, she did awesome!!! She's pretty good at staying close to the lines too, and she's improving her grip.
First Preschool Event
St. Aidan's had a craft show and ice cream social on Friday. Of course there was playing on the playground too with all the other kids. Then, one of their potential teachers took them (no one else!) to her classroom to help her feed butterflies. So fun!

Mother's Day Fun
It was a very nice day for Mother's day -- great breakfast, adorable handpainted and colored cards, generous gifts, minigolf and hibachi lunch, and an afternoon in the sun playing in the water! Of course, no pictures of me and the girls were taken...just doesn't seem to happen.

Monday Happenings
The girls are loving their new dress up outfits, including doctors and police lady (that's what they call our crossing guard). They also love to cuddle up in the cart at Target! They also attended their last ever Tavern Toddlers. First because they are no longer toddlers and second because it was the last session of the spring and they will be in preschool on Mondays in the fall. They are growing up!

Evelyn & Sylvia's 3rd Birthday!!!!!!!!!
What an awesome 3rd birthday for Evelyn and Sylvia (ignore that last funny face picture on Evelyn). The morning started out with chocolate chip pancakes with strawberries and bacon. Then, during breakfast someone was at the door ringing the bell, over and over. Who could it be? Well, Grandpa rode his motorcycle from Indiana (11 hours) to surprise the girls on their big day! How special. He even brought doughnuts! After the excitement and breakfast, the girls opened presents from us, Grammommy & Gramps, Great Granny, Grandpa, Grandpappa and Grandma, Oma and Opa. Boy, that was crazy!
Then the girls went to swimming class with Grammommy and Gramps, returned for a yummy lunch, and down for naps. Well, Sylvia didn't nap...she watched Daddy put up the bounce house outside her window. I heard her screaming "Daddy, I want to bounce." Ha! They woke up and got to bouncing. Every single person we invited came (that's 62 guests if you're keeping track!!!!); everyone arrived at 4:30pm for pony rides, petting zoo, bouncing, playing, dinner and cake. The last guest left at 7:15pm and we had everything cleaned up by 8pm and then opened more presents! Boy, folks went overboard! We have so many princess dresses, shoes, accessories, books, cars, etc. Soooooo fun!
We are incredibly lucky to have such wonderful family and friends who love and adore our girls as much as we do. Thank you for all of our love and support. The last 3 years have been a crazy ride of ups and downs and we are thrilled to start this next year off with a huge bang!
We love you little ladies. Thank you for being YOU!

More Birth Week Activities!
The week continued with the arrival of Grammommy and Gramps. We played in the yard on Wednesday when they arrived and went to dance class on Thursday and then for pedicures in the afternoon (the girls, Grammommy, Angela and Mommy).
