Knowing our travel adventures will be seriously cut after the girls are born, we went on one "final" vacation - a Babymoon to Florida over New Years. We started in Miami, laying on the beautiful beaches of South Beach (SOBE). We visited our friend Justin, and later explored the beautiful Art Deco district stopping in the famous Delano hotel to check out the happenin' Miami nightlife (Meredith wasn't sad she missed).
After a couple of nights, we rented a car and drove West to the island retreat of Sanibel and Captiva island near Ft. Myer where we explored the island's nature preserve (David's upset because we didn't see a live aligator). New Years was out of control for David, partying with old and young. Meredith was a real trooper as she patiently watched David drink and dance the night away (see video - posted by Meredith in editing). Meredith helped David nurse his raging hangover and then drove to our final destination North to Clearwater, Fl. We caught up with David's good friend Ned and his family, and Meredith's Dad and Debi rode down on their motorcycle from Orlando to visit in the morning.
